Description
From their delicious pour-overs to their minimally designed cafes, Blue Bottle Coffee is known its focus on enhancing the coffee experience.
For this project, I was tasked to create a featured item, signage, and a furniture piece that featured a pattern design.
Mood Board
For my pattern, I was inspired by Blue Bottle’s collaboration with the SF MOMA, where the museum served their coffee and baked goods that replicated artwork from artists like Piet Mondrian.
I chose to create a pattern inspired by the work of another artist, Wassily Kandinsky. Kandinsky was an abstract artist who perceived form, color, and lines as visual feelings and music.
Blue Bottle and Kandinsky have a shared desire to take simple elements to create an experience, bringing them together in this collaboration.
